Bij Albert Heijn zetten we elke dag stappen om onze impact op de wereld te verkleinen. Samen met onze leveranciers werken we aan duurzamere productiemethoden. We spannen ons in om minder voedsel te verspillen en verpakkingen steeds slimmer en milieuvriendelijker te maken. Echte verandering bereiken we samen. Met elkaar bouwen we, stap voor stap, aan een toekomst waarin beter eten niet alleen goed is voor ons, maar ook voor de wereld om ons heen.

Met de Duurzaamheid & Kwaliteit Hub bieden we één centrale plek waar u als leverancier de informatie vindt om samen met ons bij te dragen aan duurzamere ketens. Het vormt hiermee een aanvulling op de Standards of Engagement, waarin de principes zijn vastgelegd die wij essentieel achten op het gebied van ethisch zakendoen, mensenrechten en duurzaamheid.

Wij hopen dat dit u de nodige richting biedt om samen onze duurzaamheidsambities te realiseren. U vindt informatie over de onderstaande onderwerpen:

1. Klimaat - We reduceren CO2-uitstoot in de gehele keten.
2. Grondstoffen - We bevorderen de inkoop van grondstoffen met een betere impact op mens en milieu, en zetten in op traceerbaarheid en verantwoorde productieprocessen.
3. Verpakkingen – We zetten ons in voor beter verpakken, zo licht mogelijk en goed recyclebaar.
4. Voedselverspilling - We werken samen om verspilling tegen te gaan, ook door gebruik van circulaire ingrediënten.
5. Sociale ketens – We vragen leveranciers om goede arbeidsomstandigheden en mensenrechten te respecteren.
6. Ontbossing (EUDR) - We werken aan ontbossingsvrije grondstoffen in overeenstemming met Europese regelgeving.

De Duurzaamheid & Kwaliteit Hub biedt richtlijnen en hulpmiddelen om leveranciers te ondersteunen bij het stellen van doelen en het rapporteren hierover. Albert Heijn verwacht dat leveranciers volgens de op deze pagina's beschreven vereisten en ambities maatregelen implementeren en daarover rapporteren. Echter, de leverancier blijft te allen tijde zelf verantwoordelijk voor:

• Het stellen van doelen volgens de toepasselijke wet- en regelgeving en relevante voorschriften.
• Het nemen van de benodigde stappen om deze doelen te behalen.
• Het correct en volledig rapporteren over de voortgang en resultaten.

The Sustainability & Quality Hub provides guidance and tools to support suppliers in setting goals and reporting in accordance with the principles and ambitions described. Albert Heijn expects suppliers to implement and report against requirements and ambitions as described in these pages. In general, the supplier always remains responsible for:

• Acting in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and relevant guidelines.
• Taking the necessary steps to implement and achieve the ambitions described.
• Reporting correctly and completely on progress and results.
